A Fine Federal Mahogany and Gilt Gesso Mirror New York City, circa 1790.  This Hepplewhite mirror with applied crest and fine inlay is a form associated with the finest examples from Federal New York.  The crest consists of a gilt gesso, carved urn with a lobbed body, applied floral blossoms and wheat stalks. An attractive Labeled Federal looking glass, By Kidder & Carter, Charlestown, Massachusetts, circa 1820. This wonderful mirror has an overhanging cornice with ball decorations above a reverse decorated tablet. The tablet is decorated with a warm hearted image of a young girl and boy sharing an embrace. The lower tablet retains an original mirror glass. The back of the mirror has the partial paper label of "Kidder & Carter, / Main Street / Charlestown (Mass)". Height 30 1/8”; Width 17 1/2”

A Rare A Rare Sheraton Mahogany Foot Stool With Patchwork Covering, Stamped By Abel Jones Winchendon,  Massachusetts, circa 1830. This very rare foot stool has great folk art appeal and is in superb original condition.  The cushioned foot rest is covered with a terrific patchwork remnant that dates to the 19th Century.  The stool is neatly impressed on the bottom at center by the maker, “Abel Jones”. Abel Jones was a cabinetmaker listed in the Worcester County Deeds, working until his death in 1836 in Winchendon, Mass. A very rare pair of Federal carved fire bellows, attributed to Samuel McIntire, Salem circa 1800. These carved mahogany bellows, which feature a detailed carved basket of fruit with characteristic star punch, originally belonged to American patriot John Winship (1754-1822) who fought the British at the Battle of Lexington, prior to moving to Salem. The bellows are illustrated in "American Antiques from the Israel Sack Collection", Vol. IV, figure P3844, page 1037. Length 21 1/2 Width 9".

An impressive pair of Queen Anne swirl base brass candlestick, circa 1750-60. This unusually large pair of candlesticks have fine swirl bases with great old color. The shafts have reverse urn turnings with swirl cut decorations and matching bobèches. The pair are impressive not only for their size but for the fact that they survive in such fine condition. Height 9 1/8".

A very fine Hepplewhite gilt and inlaid looking glass, New York City, circa 1795. The urn finial with blossoms and wheat stalks is framed by a molded and carved swan's neck pediment, terminating in floral rosettes. The mahogany veneered pediment is inlaid with an oval panel with stylized conch shell above line inlaid panels. The original mirror glass is framed by gilt moldings and a line inlaid panel all surmounted by gilt carved floral drops. The mirror base is embellished with a heavily scrolled panel and ears. 48 x 20"

A Monumental Classical Gilt Wood Girandole Mirror, circa 1820. This exceptionally large scale girandole mirror features a full bodied carved American eagle on a plinth mounted with an ebonized lion face. The richly carved foliate ears and lower drop, frame the original convex looking glass. The four gilt scrolled candelabrums support cut crystal candle holders above crystal bobèches with drop prisms. 57 x 46"
