An antique Chippendale mahogany and gilt carved looking glass, circa 1780.

A very good Chippendale mahogany mirror or looking glass.  This mirror has an iconic form with gardrooned and shaped ears on both the crest and base.  The crest has a carved central Phoenix bird with original gilding.  The mirror glass appear to be original and is famed with a chip carved and gilt border.
Dimensions: Height 35 3/4"  Width 20 3/4"
