This handsomely proportioned Chippendale mahogany tea table has a richly grained pie crust top and a wonderful old surface. The tilt top is secured to a fixed block above a column with a baluster top above a vase form turning with carved water leaves finishing in a rope twist detail. The table rests on a three gently curved cabriole legs with Rococo carved foliate knees and foliate carved padded slipper feet. The carving throughout is finely executed and retains crisp detail.
