This finely proportioned antique drop leaf tea table is in a rare and prized diminutive size. This tiny form which was popular in Massachusetts and Rhode Island would be considered a tea table. The dense mahogany top has an old surface with rounded drop leaves on a rectangular frame The top is set on a rectangular frame with gate legs and a molded ends with shaped cut-outs. The molded apron joins four delicate cabriole legs with pad feet. Two of the legs swing out as gate legs to support the small drop leaves. This antique drop leaf tea table has minor surface imperfections but remains in wonderful condition with a pleasing old surface.
