A fine Classical mahogany antique candle stand New York, New York, circa 1820. This attractive antique candle stand is constructed of high quality mahogany throughout and possess the pleasing proportions of the best New York classical forms. The octagonal tilt top has a mahogany cross banded edge around a vibrant crotch grained mahogany veneer. The top is affixed to a solid block above a reeded bulbous baluster-form post. The stand is raised on three graceful spider-form legs with reeded tops and spade feet.
