Classical mahogany server, (New York, NY)
A Classical diminutive mahogany two drawer server with lower shelf, New York City, circa 1820.
This server has wonderful mahogany veneers and is in an agreeable small size. Because of its diminutive size this very useful form can be used in a variety of place, the entryway, bedroom, living room and of course the dining room. The rectangular top has out-set ovolo corners above reeded and turned baluster form legs. The case has two long graduated drawers fitted with excellent brass pulls. The drawers and drawer surrounds feature vivid mahogany veneers. The four legs are joined by a lower mahogany open shelf and rest on brass ball-form casters.
